Welcome to Traken Estate.
Traken Estate is located in the fertile lands of Ohoka, North Canterbury and is just 20 minutes from Christchurch international airport and 30 minutes from Christchurch city and an easy 5 minute drive from either Kaiapoi or Rangiora.
Visitors are welcome to come and view our animals have a chat. Bed and Breakfast style accommodation is also available.
Our TB status is C10 with annual TB testing.
Highland Cattle
We have been involved with Highland Cattle since 2000 and have built up a herd of approximately 25 animals. Most of the herd are Full Blood Highland Cattle which are registered with the NZHCS.
We lease bulls from Abberley Highland Cattle so have a range of XXXXXX

Other Animals
Apart from the Highland Cattle we also have Llama's and Wiltshire Sheep.
Llama's - With the recent downsizing of the farm we have made the decision to sell our remaining Llama's. We have available for sale two stud males and two gelded male pack animals. Please see our Llama's for sale page for pictures.
Wiltshire Sheep - On the farm we have a small flock of Wiltshire sheep. Each season we sell some of the offspring so please contact us if you are interested in any lambs.
